Free Nabila: The Music of Palestine
Free Nabila is a concert of Palestinian Folk music. Come and sing along with Aswat Ensemble, contribute your voice to our “sing-in” demonstration honoring Palestinian lives and culture and protesting genocide and ethnic cleansing through the universal language of music.
This is Zawaya’s first concert since our founder, Nabila Mango, died in November 2023. Many people have shared that Nabila was a symbol of and connection to Palestine for them. This concert is in honor of all the Palestinians who have lost their lives, freedom, homes, loved ones, and homeland to seventy-six years of colonization, occupation, brutality, apartheid, ethic cleansing, and genocide. It was Nabila’s dying request to have a spring concert named, “Free Nabila.” May they all rest in peace and power. Free Nabila, Free Palestine. تحيا فلسطين
